For the day, they christened themselves ‘the Sananda-ettes’. I’m still working on convincing them to do a group shot of just titties.

Tuesday 25 July ‘23. And this is what you get when you marry someone from the ‘Selfie’ generation. But having just celebrated our 20 years together as married bitches, I’ve concluded that I guess it might work out after all.

She & my Wife both share the same birthday, December 30.

Francesca & I with the talented Olympic Medal Equestrian Jessica & some guy who she says is her dad.

We thought it might be a bit rude to not let him join the picture.

Francesca being thoughtful & generous advising this gentleman on alternative career opportunities

in the event that the profession he’s chosen doesn’t work out.

After all, it is never too late to make new choices in life.

It seems as if the gentleman is content with the advice

he received ! As our grandmothers always reminded us,

“There’s Always Work at the Post Office” !

I was taught in Sunday School as a young sprout that God Forbids the Worship of ‘False Idols’. But I’m safe from judgment

(& THE ETERNAL DAMNATION & WRATH OF GOD (!!!!)

because NONE OF MY IDOLS ARE FALSE.

And this gentleman is evidence of what (at least for me among the millions) A TRUE HERO IS, an Idol to look up to

who’s genuine, real & totally ABOUT THAT LIFE.

I’ve looked up to him since I was 13,

& he’s always made himself & his wonderful generosity of spirit available to me as a Big Brother figure.

Simply put, I LOVE THIS dude, & always will.

Those are few who can raise one’s spirit like he can.

For me, Music may be his SECOND Greatest Gift,

his Primary being his ability to reach into your heart & remind you of who you are. I’m always uplifted by our communication & from DAY UNO, he’s been firmly planted in my corner,

such as an Oak Tree would be.

Then again ALL OF THOSE WHO COUNT HIM AMONG THEIR FRIENDS, feel this way about him.

Normally at this point I tend to avoid Concerts that are not my own, but he requested that I come to Monza to see him & there’s no way that I could’ve refused.

Plus, the Madame Maitreya would’ve ‘fatto un culo così!’

(an expression which means generally ‘she’d make my ass feel really really small’) had I not taken her to meet up with

the Maestro & the Concert, along with over 70,000 others.

Us after perhaps a few beers between us.

AND THAT’s WHY WE DRINK ‘MENABREA’ !

CONTENT IS KING, GOTTA FEED THAT HUNGRY MACHINE !

But seriously folks, I’ve made a few good choices in my life, perhaps none better than having made the decision to

TRUST MY INSTINCTS

& make this woman my mate for life.

I’ve joked with her that after having lived in Hollywood for a dozen years, she should expect that once she reaches 50,

she should pack up her shit & move out, because

I HAVE A ROCK STAR’s HONOR & IMAGE TO PROTECT !

So she’s got 3 years left. But the reality is that FUCK THAT,

I couldn’t have found any other person more perfectly suited

to accompany my walk through the fires of hell & my hike

through the fog shrouded mountains.

And a man must know when to quit while he’s ahead,

or the search for what is real never ends.

I’m a Pisces, Capricorn Rising,

she’s a Capricorn, Pisces Rising.

The Angels gave me this woman,

& I try not to wrestle with the Angels unless it’s

A REALLY IMPORTANT PART OF THE PROCESS.

Franci, Mara, Cristina, Fabiane, Claudia, & our token

Englishman Ramage.

Fabiane is a ‘Brasiliana’, with whom culturally speaking

Italians get on with quite well. But the KEY to anyone getting on with Italians is to complement & flatter them & their culture, their way of life.

A LITTLE LOVE (& Appreciation) GOES A LONG WAY.

And as long as you don’t mind a bit of drama in your life,

then they are your bitches.

And as with more than a few tribes, they are both as sensitive about their past & history as they are just

as passionately proud of it.

To understand THIS, is to come closer to understanding THEM.

And ARTISTS, despite our often many feeble protestations to the contrary as as drawn to Drama, as are Bees drawn to the Nectar of an Open Flower, a Moth to an Open Flame.

Bees extract the material the Plant provides to produce Pollen, Artists extract from Human Drama to produce ART.

As well as a few complaints (& a wee bit of Self Pity)

from time to time….
