I’d like to thank each of you who participate with us in this ongoing production of our experience traversing the ‘Light Fantastic’ for your always amusing & interesting contribution to our process. It is always stimulating & appreciated !
I’d also like to take the opportunity that today provides to wish a HAPPY 65th BIRTHDAY to a one Madame KATE BUSH, of whom I’ve been a Riveted Fan since first coming into contact with her beguiling genius, extraordinary talent, & otherworldly beauty when I was but a ‘wee lad’ still learning to properly digest milk byproducts & solid proteins.
She was born in that musically blessed vintage year of 1958, an ‘anni fenomenali & favolosi’ that also gave us from its generous cornucopia (among a veritable treasure trove of artistic giants), Micheal Jackson, Prince, & Madonna.
I was thrilled for her that ‘Stranger Things’ renewed her shine for a new generation of fortunate souls as perhaps more than enough of us are now ready for her stunning & soulful originality. I remember turning the maestro Prince on to her in the 80’s, for which he thanked me the next time we spoke thereafter.
She is but 4 years older than I, but as far as I’m concerned, she’s worlds ahead.
I’m rather relieved that we never really got a chance to meet & hang out, for I’m certain that I would’ve tossed my cupcakes & spit up my milk.
Supermodels I could handle (as presumptuous as that may sound), but Supermodels who were also pantheon high priestesses I am not so sure.
But let the annals of time record that I ADORE HER & Wish Upon Her Star as long a life as the ephemeral edge of earth’s illustrious aura can contain.
It was the great Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd who discovered & mentored her, for which he should be given another separate space in the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame.
And after a long & brutal summer’s labors, I’m back in the healing bosom of the mountains, so high up, that I can literally at times take a piss in the clouds, where my spirit finds rest & my soul much gratitude towards the heavens & the good green, voluptuous earth.
We thank you again for what energy you invest towards the humble claim that we stake upon the hours granted to our dream.
